Vanitas Completed

Well, my vanitas project has been completed to mixed reviews.. It could have been better, but I know it could have been worse.. I think having seen everyone else's images mine are not the worst or the best ones.. I thought the whole standard of the class was excellent... so to everyone else... keep up the good work...

ppd3 - Written submission - What do I want to achieve?

Ok, I have to submit in writing today... so I have edited together my blog entries, and set out what I hope to achieve..

What do I want to achieve?

Well having seen some of the winners of last year’s awards, I honestly think I can win some kind of prize… I think I can put together some kind of meaningful narrative, and that together with the technical skills I have, make a piece that is beautiful to watch as well as being a moving story… Might as well aim high…

A lazy Sunday afternoon... I have been looking at short films that have won prizes at film festivals.

I met a friend of mine last night, and mentioned about the film competition and I have convinced him to be the subject of a documentary short..

His name is Paul, and he is a pianist. His jobs at the minute include teaching, playing the organ in church, and accompanying students at performing arts classes.. should be a good subject...
